Happier

Today is the 8th of April and it is my birthday, I was just sitting at the table by myself while my friends were running around and screaming, i felt so lonely. Then i was given my cake, i felt so happy that i made a wish, but suddenly one of my friends came and blew out my candles, my tear started pouring down my face but i just had to wipe my tears because i didn't want to cry about it. Then my dad gave me a box, i opened it and there was a bright yellow bow, i didn't know what to do with it so i just put in back in the box and closed the lid. Next minute i saw my dad holding a cute juvenile puppy, it was the best surprise for my birthday, i held the cute puppy and he started licking my face with his wet sloppy tongue, i then smiled and my dad took our photo, our photo was framed and was put on the shelf. I named my puppy coco, everyday me and coco would measure our heights. I would always buy coco some toys to play with so he doesn't get bored at home. 12 years later.....I'm going to my soccer games which we were all sitting on the benches and our captain was picking who was going to play and i was the only one who she didn't pick, i felt left out.

Later that day i played soccer with coco. The next day at my soccer games we took a group photo and the photographer gave me the ball to hold and i was in the middle, but then some other girls in my soccer team snatched the ball of me and i just walked to the back and the photographer told me to smile and i got nervous but i smiled anyways and then they made fun of my braces and i felt embarrassed so i just ran home and laid on the couch and my coco came in and held my hand and then he laid on the floor, and he looked really sick so i got him some medication. 8 months later my dog is still sick and he was laying on the floor, i went up to him and noticed he wasn't feeling good so i yelled to my dad to come, he came and picked him up and we drove him to the vet. At the vet i patted him and gave him one last hug before i go, i also took the bow of his fur and i felt really sad he was leaving me, my dad gave me a hug and said ' everything's gonna be okay'. As my dad carried him away i waved coco goodbye and my tears started to pour down my face. 20 Years later....it was my niece's birthday and i was shocked that one of relatives got her a red bow just like what i got on my birthday, then my dad came in and he was holding a cute puppy and at that moment i felt happy, and he gave it to my niece and my niece was so happy. It brought back memories and i started crying but i was happy at the same time..

Statistics

Today 7/8Tz were doing statistics math's where we had to use Mean, Median and Mode in our math and we also had to work out questions using all three Mean, Median and Mode.

Mean: Another word for mean is average and the definition of mean is where you add all the data points in a population and then dividing the total number of points. The resulting number is known as the mean or the average number.

Median: To find the median number, we arrange the numbers in order from smallest to largest.

If there is an odd number of observations, the median is the middle number.

Mode: The mode is found by collecting and organizing numbers in order to count the frequency of each result.

We might work out the Mean, Median and Mode for the weather.

Music

                                                           She Played The Guitar
Today we were given three sentences to choose out of, and i chose this sentence.
So we had to add a adjective, when, where, how and who to our story everytime.

Adjective: She played the big guitar
When: On Saturday Morning she played the big guitar
Where: On Saturday Morning at her guitar lessons she played the big guitar
How: On Saturday Morning at her guitar lessons she played the big guitar so calmly
Who: On Saturday Morning at her guitar lessons Stella played the big guitar so calmly.

             
Today i learnt how to turn a boring story into a interesting story by adding lots of details.

Music

What is Music?
Music is something you can listen to or dance to, music is always found on youtube or other music sites.

Where can we find,hear and express music?
I always hear music at home because my sister plays music and when I watch youtube I can always find music there.

What type of music do you like to make or listen to?
I like making making accapela songs with a group of people and I really like listening to hip hop songs or just slow songs.

What do you want to learn about in hurmanu?
In hurumanu I really want to learn about music and learn more about what is music.

Latoiya, Meleana and I made sculptures of a kea.

This term we collected rubbish around the school and we decided we would make art of of rubbish so we decided to make a kea to represent New Zealand. 

                        PASSIONS

Singing: Every Wednesday for cip in period three we have singing.

In singing group we are just learning to sing new songs we don't know so that we can learn a new song, we are also trying to sing some of the school songs. 

                    What did you do to help the community?

I helped the community by picking up rubbish around the school.

                   Enjoyment

I really enjoyed doing cip because all of the yr 8 and 7 classes get to work together and do stuff together. I really liked doing singing this term because we got to sing new songs.

 

Statistics

The past few weeks we have been doing math with Mrs Hastie and for math our class got into buddy's and went to the side of the road on Waterloo road and record what we have on our graph so we had to write down different kind of vehicles and record on our graph how many different types of vehicles went down Waterloo road. On my graph i have Ute, Truck & Trailer and Tip Deck Truck.
I saw 10 Utes and 4 truck and trailers and one tip deck truck. So on my graph i saw more Utes than truck and trailers.
